Bid Me Farewell

SATURDAY – JULY 10 – 4 to 10pm
LINDLEY PAVILION – BOZEMAN, MT
The final plans for the farewell / good luck party I am throwing myself are getting cleared up. Here is what I know as of now. The Lindley Pavilion is reserved for the event from 3:30 to 10:30, so after I get set up anyone can stop by after 4. I am providing the keg of beer, but it will come at a small cost to cover some of the expenses of the party and maybe even raise a few more dollars for the trip. I am attempting to stay local, so I hope to secure a keg of Madison River Hopper Pale Ale. A truly dear friend of mine, Martha Sellers, has taken it upon herself to take care of the bbq part of the event. The food will be simple bbq fare, but delicious nonetheless. Of course, if the weather does decide to cooperate, then there will be a plethora of games to play in the summer sun. The ideas are bouncing around between kickball and bike polo to more individual field day type games (think three-legged races and waterballoon toss). I would love it if everyone local make an attempt to arrive by bike. I will be living off of mine for the next 18 months, so it is the least everyone can do to show their support. One that note, I will also have my bike and some of my gear at the event for everyone to look at and ask questions. Also, I will have a few of my photos available for sale in support of the trip. Thanks everyone for your support, and I look forward to seeing you on Saturday! – Justin

  2. Justin –

Sorry to miss the big party on Saturday. I can’t believe the time for your adventure has really arrived – how exciting!! Looking forward to checking in with you on your blog. Saying “have an amazing trip” seems inadequate for such a fantastic undertaking. So I’ll just go with “enjoy!!”.
