THE HUB BICYCLE SHOP – COLORADO SPRINGS, CO:
The decision to re-equip myself with a new bike for the more rugged adventures to be seen south of the border led me to the dual Chris’ for a custom build on a Surly Troll. Great guys who are very enthused about the trip and the unique bike they put together for me.

PACIFIC OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT – BOZEMAN, MT:
A wonderful company with a huge line of waterproof bags, panniers and an assortment of other products. Their philosophy is: “To create and deliver the highest quality, best designed outdoor gear imaginable, and have a great time doing it. Because; good gear = less waste; less wasted energy and less wasted time in the outdoors.” The crew at Pacific Outdoor Equip. is enthusiastically supporting my trip in exchange for a little product testing and feedback. I will be using their line of standard front and rear panniers and potentially a sleep pad and a few other misc. items like dry bags.

PRO LITE GEAR – BOZEMAN, MT:
Pro Lite Gear is single-handedly attempting to outfit this misfit adventurer for everything I might need on my travels. Brad is either a great salesmen are just damn knowledgeable about gear, materials, weight, and the appropriateness of each dependent upon person and circumstance. I am acquiring everything from tents and sleeping bags, to cycle clothes and rain shells, to cooking and hydration from Pro Lite. I strongly recommend a trip to their store off Griffin Dr.

MEDICINE HAT, INC – DESIGN SERVICES AND CUSTOM FABRICATIONS – GALLATIN GATEWAY, MT:
In addition to providing me gainful employment over the last few months, Medicine Hat is proudly supporting this wild adventure. In exchange for learning Spanish and becoming adequately prepared for my trip, I now know my way around a steel fab shop, and will have the privileged of participating in one of Southwest Montana’s first modern prefab. moves. I strongly encourage anyone interested in a different approach to standard architecture and construction to take a trip out to Gallatin Gateway and visit our operation. Remember, we are picking the home up in four separate units at the end of the month and moving it a few hours from here. See it across the street from Stacey’s, or check for videos and photos of the project on the website.

SUMMIT BIKE AND SKI – BOZEMAN, MT:
I would be hard pressed to get my bike ready for an 18,000 mile adventure without the help of the team at Summit. While I already owned the Surly LHT that I am going to use, they performed a nice overhaul and upgrade on the trusty steed to set me up. They have reliably handled my months of question regarding bikes, parts, and options and filled me with a little more confidence to set off on the road. Thanks to Summit Bike and Ski for their support.

BROOKS ENGLAND LTD:
Brooks has been manufacturing premium leather bike saddles for over a century. Once the leather saddle is broken in and shaped to your rear end, then they are reported to be the best and most comfortable bike saddles in the world. I haven’t calculated the amount of time I will actually be sitting on my bike, but to cover 18,000 miles it will sure be a lot. They have kindly supplied me with a B17 Imperial touring saddle and some matching leather handle-bar tape.

INDIVIDUAL SUPPORTERS:
I would like to thank each person who has offered assistance for my trip, through financial donations and emotional support. I will peddle a little harder each day knowing that there are people excited about my adventure and who support my crazy ambitions. Thanks!
